Swedish Door
The demand for custom IKEA kitchen cabinets has grown lately. Many customers are not entirely satisfied with the limited color options available at the IKEA stores. They seek more variety in both colors and door styles. While traditional favorites like BODBYN and the newer AXSTAD are popular, there is a growing interest in exploring additional choices.
Navigating the array of third-party manufacturers that produce compatible IKEA doors can be overwhelming. Notable names in this space include Kokeena, Nieu, Scherr’s, Semihandmade, Swedish Door, The Cabinet Face, and many more.
This particular kitchen features Swedish Door’s TESS material, painted in a custom color, paired with BILLSBRO handles, Caesarstone Airy Concrete quartz countertops, and high-end stainless steel appliances. Such a project not only includes custom-colored and textured doors, but also custom-sized doors and cabinets that aren’t typically available in the stores. For example, we installed two 35” high pull-outs to the right of the refrigerator, a size not found in the standard IKEA lineup. Custom-ordered doors enable designers to optimize every corner and fulfill unique customer requests.
The result is a premium kitchen with ample storage and space that will remain modern and contemporary for years to come, backed by IKEA’s 25-year warranty on their cabinets.
