For this IKEA kitchen renovation, the European Kitchen team maintained the existing layout while introducing several innovative ideas to enhance functionality and style. One key upgrade was replacing the traditional bar (constructed with 2x4s and drywall) with 42-inch cabinets, which match the bar’s height but offer additional storage space. We also added two spacious pantries to meet all the storage needs of the kitchen owners. The base cabinets showcase a variety of IKEA’s cabinet door options, including doors with shelves, drawers with soft-close mechanisms, pull-out cabinets, and pantry-sized cabinets with internal drawers.
The kitchen’s two-tone design makes a bold statement, highlighting IKEA’s modern aesthetic. The white ceramic backsplash pairs seamlessly with the white base cabinets, while the quartz countertop complements both the wall cabinets and the toe kick, all in a matching color. The sleek stainless steel appliances, including a chimney range hood, bring a contemporary touch to the space, which is essential for any 21st-century kitchen. The renovation also featured the installation of Italian ceramic floor tiles and the application of a high-gloss, washable white paint, adding both elegance and practicality to the finished kitchen.
This was the very first IKEA kitchen our team installed a decade ago. Back then, we operated under the brand Virginia Kitchens. Even after all these years, this kitchen has stood the test of time, still looking contemporary and stylish.
